Does anybody know what the interval is? At this exact moment, my Twine is showing that it hasn't updated in 21 minutes. I've seen this before, and it often seems to resolve itself, but sometimes it seems to update every few minutes, and other times it has gone for far longer without updating (13 hours in one case). Note that this is all without a rule having been triggered. I'm just trying to figure out how long I should let it go before I start being concerned that the batteries have died without warning me, or that it's fallen off of the wireless network.

Right before you leave work, flip Twine on its side to let your significant other you're on your way home.
- Use to turn rules on/off from Twine itself; only send an email reporting a temperature change when Twine is on its right side.

Any others?

OK, here's a very simple app that you can download to your android phone or tablet. It's called Twine Status, and it took me longer to think up the name than it did to create the app. The app was created in about 5 minutes with the help of Appgeyser.com, and it renders the Twine Dashboard page just like a real browser would, but you don't have all the features of a real browser. You can follow the links to Rules, Discussions, etc. but you can't open them in new tabs like a browser might.

Why use it? Decide for yourself. Once you enter your email address and password Twine Status is a quick and easy way to get to the dashboard. It's especially easier on a smartphone. You could do the same thing by opening a browser but that means entering the URL or finding a bookmark. Tapping the app on your screen is quicker. I have not put this app on Google Play because it's just not very sophisticated and has limited appeal, and I'm sure someone with programming talent will come up with something better.

To get the app, first go to security settings on your device and make sure to allow installs from unknown sources. Then use a browser on your device and go to www.appsgeyser.com/319291 to download the .apk file. Once it is downloaded you may be prompted to install the app, or you may have to select the apk file from your download folder to initiate the install.

Once installed, give it a try and leave some feedback here if you think it is worth the price. Also, be sure to turn off accepting apps from unknown sources so you don't get a lot of unwanted junk.

Hi all,

Has anyone had success getting two Twines set up on the same network? My second Twine goes through the setup process well enough, but when I flip it back to connect, it does the slow flashing and:

1) Gives me the 3 quick "fail" flashes about 2/3 of the time.
2) Does no extra flashes the other 1/3 of the time.
3) My first Twine occasionally goes "offline" at this point and needs to be reset.
4) The second Twine does not give me the steady light when I put it back on its back, and I have to pull a battery and replace to reset.

Any thoughts? I'd hate to send it back for something obvious. I could try a friend's network, if I have to.

Thanks,

Graham

Ok, I love the fact that the Twine will send a TXT when the temp in our aquaponics greenhouse falls below a setpoint I setup in the rules.

BUT.... The Twine sends a TXT like every second the unit is under the setpoint value. I got hundreds of TXT's before I Blocked it. This is un-usable and good thing I had unlimited Texting or I would have been screwed by the Twine.

Can we fix it so it only sends ONE text when the setpoint valu is met and One when the valu is back to the set point?

Thanks
